What is an RCIED?
RCIED stands for Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device. IEDs are mostly used by terrorist in conflict zones. Home made IEDs and roadside bombs are remotely activated by transmitting an RF signal via a remote transmitter to a receiver attached to the bomb or improvised explosive device.
